Smart-Slate

My School district has gotten all of its teachers Smart-slates for their classrooms. I know you can search for lessons on their websites but I was wondering if anyone has any other websites/ideas for using slates in a classroom. (I teach middle school science and social studies).

  2. I just searched google and found some info about smart slate (http://smarttech.com/us/Solutions/Education+Solutions/Products+for+education/Complementary+hardware+products/SMART+Slate). It looks promising and a good technology. Your using experience most welcome :)

  3. Yes I wonder what smart slate is too and I checked the link provided by Physics teacher. It seems nice at first glance but after I think for a while I become suspicious about it. How is it using in class? Can you command the computer which is connected to? I mean can you use to navigate between pages or you just can use it to draw and drawings will be visible on the board via data projector?

I become curious about it, please write your experiences.

  4. The SMART Tech website does give some cool lesson ideas but, depending on grade level and content area, they can be rather limited. I've found that when I want something specific, I have to make it myself. I've gotten very proficient with the gallery tools and pulling things of of websites with the screen capture tool.

It's also possible to Google whhat you'd like, but that can be like finding a needle in a haystack at times.

    Good luck!

(P.S. - Even though I teach 8th grade math, if you'd like any of the resources I've created (mostly games and such), I'd be more than happy to share.)
